Audience
Comments do not start because you went live.
GO LIVE only sends the picture. A stream key has no channel name in it, so ProdHQ cannot guess where the chat is. Set the chat up once. Next show, turn the same channel on.
People watching your ProdHQ room
- Open a room in the switcher.
- Open Audience. Questions from that room's watch page show up on their own. There is no key to paste.
If the status says no room is open, viewer questions have nowhere to come from. Open the room first.
Twitch chat
- Open Audience → Channels.
- Type the Twitch channel name. Not the stream key. The name on the Twitch URL.
- Turn that channel on. ProdHQ saves the name. Next show it is still there. You still turn it on. It does not start itself when you press GO LIVE.
YouTube chat
- In Google Cloud, create one YouTube Data API key. One key covers every channel you add.
- Paste that key in the YouTube API key field. It is saved on this computer.
- Type the channel's @handle on the station row.
- Turn that channel on when the live chat exists. YouTube will not return messages for a video that is not live yet.
ProdHQ does not read Facebook comments. Watch those on Facebook. StreamYard can, because it logs into the Page. ProdHQ does not have that login.
Do not paste a stream key into the channel name. The GO LIVE card and the Audience row are different things. The card sends video. The row listens to chat.
