Go live

Send Program to YouTube, Facebook or Twitch.

ProdHQ sends the picture the way OBS does: a server URL and a stream key. It does not sign into YouTube or Facebook, so the title of the stream is set on that site, not by the key.

Before you touch GO LIVE

  1. Open the switcher. Studio: View → Video Switcher. Express: camera icon on a video track.
  2. Click the camera you want people to see. It sits on Preview.
  3. Press TAKE. That shot is now Program. If you skip TAKE, viewers get the previous Program, which may be empty.
  4. Optional: type a show title in the switcher. Guests see those words on the welcome card. YouTube, Facebook and Twitch do not read that box. When you create the live event on their site, type the title there too.

YouTube

  1. Open YouTube Studio → Go live (or Live Control Room) and create a stream.
  2. Copy the stream URL and the stream key. The key is a secret. Treat it like a password.
  3. In ProdHQ, open GO LIVE → add YouTube and paste both.
  4. Set the title, description and privacy on YouTube before you start. ProdHQ cannot set them.

Facebook Profile, Page, or Group

  1. Open Facebook Live Producer for the place you want the video to appear: your profile, a Page you manage, or a group.
  2. Choose streaming software and copy the stream key Facebook shows for that live video. A profile key, a Page key, and a group key are different keys.
  3. In ProdHQ, add a Facebook card. Select it. Press Profile, Page, or Group so the card says which key you pasted. The server address is the same. The key is what decides where Facebook puts the video.
  4. Set the title on Facebook in Live Producer. The card nickname in ProdHQ is only a label for you.

Eight cards, and the row was already full. You do not need an Add button to change Facebook. Select the Facebook card. Profile, Page and Group appear under it.

Twitch, Kick, LinkedIn, Rumble, or any RTMP address

  1. On that site, open the stream settings and copy the server URL and stream key.
  2. Add that destination in GO LIVE and paste them. Custom is there when the site is not in the list.

Start, and stop

  1. Press GO LIVE. Program is what goes out. You can send to several destinations at once, up to 8.
  2. RECORD can run at the same time, or on its own if you only want a file.
  3. Stop GO LIVE in ProdHQ when the show is over, and end the broadcast on YouTube or Facebook if that site keeps a live event open.

Demo Mode lets you build the show. Export and GO LIVE unlock when you subscribe.
